As the time grows your iPhone collects and stored cached data that can make your iPhone slow down in performance and it also take up storage space. By Clearing the collected cache can help it speed up your device and free up memory.
Here’s I show you four simple tricks how to do it for different apps and settings:
Clearing the cache on an iPhone depends on what you’re trying to clear. Here are different ways to do it:
1. Clear Safari Cache
If you want to clear the browser cache for Safari:
- Open iPhone Settings.
- First you have to Scroll down and tap Safari.
- Tap the button for clear History and Website Data.
- Press the confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.
- This will remove your browsing history, cookies, and cache from Safari.
2. Clear App Cache (for Specific Apps)
Most apps don’t have a built-in cache clearing option, but you can try:
- Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage.
- Scroll down and select the app you want to clear the cache for.
- If the app has a Clear Cache option, use it (not all apps do).
- If there’s no option, tap Offload App (this removes the app but keeps data) or Delete App (which removes everything). Then, reinstall the app to clear its cache.

3. Restart Your iPhone
Sometimes, a simple restart can clear temporary cache files:
Hold the Power button and Volume Up/Down (on newer iPhones) until you see “Slide to power off.”
Slide to turn off the iPhone, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on.
4. Clear System Cache & Free Up Storage
- Go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage.
- Look for Recommendations like “Offload Unused Apps” or “Review Large Attachments” to free up space.
- Delete old messages, photos, and downloads to reduce system clutter
